204. DIY Dress

Dress:  DIY/Self Made
Belt:  Vintage
Bag:  Anna Lou of London
Shoes:  H&M

Hey loves,

This is an outfit I wore on a night out last Thursday so a little late on the up-take, I know! I actually made this dress myself a couple of hours before I was due to go out. I was clearing through my fabrics and found a couple of scraps left of the navy and white houndstooth printed fabric. I have been meaning to do something with it for years however there was barely any of it left so I wasn't sure what to do with it. But on Thursday I really wanted to do something with it and I realised I had some fake white leather left over from my collection so I decided to make a dress and this is basically what I came up with!

I literally just had enough fabric so I was worried it wouldn't work but I think it turned out really well :) What do you think? It turned out a little too big and obviously I didn't have time to adjust it so I just put a belt on and hey presto! It created these lovely pleats to create a perfect fit :)

I hope you guys like it!

203. My 'go to' lazy day outfit

Necklace:  H&M
Jumper:  Vintage
Jeans:  New Look (Parisian range)
Boots:  New Look

Hey lovers,

Friday is here and as I went out last night with some friends I was feeling a lazy day was needed, however I did need to pop into uni to get my results. Therefore I opted for my 'go to' outfit when I am feeling lazy but still want to look stylish and I thought I would show you. I don't often wear jeans but they are the ultimate lazy-day bottoms (not before pj bottoms, of course!) for a day like today and these jeans are super comfy! I also chucked on my slightly oversized jumper and was good to go! I then added my gold chain necklace for a little detail and my ankle boots from New Look, which as you can see are well worn as they are so easy to walk in and give me a little extra height!

I also put together a little video for you guys, feeling creative today!

202. It's a funny sort of day

Coat:  Vintage
Collar Clips:  Home made - DIY
Shirt:  Vintage
Jeans:  New Look (Extremely old!)
Shoes:  New Look/Charity Shop

Hey there beauties!

Today I went for a little shopping spree with my Mum and my Nan and Grandad. We popped to B&M as we had never been before and I had seen the perfect bedside tables for my new room (more news on that soon!), so we thought we would explore! It is absolutely amazing in there, like The Range but cheaper! And I do love The Range. If you haven't been or heard of it already then check out the website here. The only downside is that you cannot order online which is a little annoying, so use the search bar to see if there is a store near you :)

Anyway, I was feeling rather casual but classic today and this is what I came up with. I usually always tuck in shirts or blouses into my bottoms as I think I look bigger than I am if I leave them hanging out (which is not good mixed with my short 5 foot height!), but I felt it kind of worked today. I have had these jeans for absolute jeans! Since I started working at New Look, which is over 5 years ago, so they are extremely old but I still love them! I thought I would add a little detail with my gold collar clips that I made using a pair of vintage earrings and a gold chain to attach. I still have plenty of earring left over so I will be selling them very soon on my Etsy store :) Lastly I finished with my white pointed shoes which have a low heel to give my outfit a classic, sophisticated look, and of course my vintage coat which I can not stop wearing!!

I don't know about you guys and where you live but the weather is really horrible at the moment! It's so muggy at hot, it's a job to know weather to even bother with a coat or not! I jolly hope the sun makes an appearance soon, I'm getting fed up of not knowing what to wear! ;)

201. That Fairy Feeling

Headband:  Crown and Glory
Jumper:  Charity Shop
Belt:  New Look
Shorts:  Charity Shop
Boots:  New Look

Hello lovelies,

Today I felt rather girly and fairy-like when I opted for this outfit. I bought these shorts from a charity shop last summer and had yet to wear them so I decided today would be the day! I have since come to the conclusion that these shorts are supposed to be pj bottoms but I'll still wear them as I think they look really sweet all the same and work nicely with this lilac jumper which I also thrifted. I also think they would look really cute with a little cami top too.

As I was feeling 'fairy-like' it only seemed right that I wear my first and only Crown and Glory headband, which my chummie Paige gifted to me. I absolutely love the Crown and Glory range. Everything is so pretty and girly, I wish I could just buy it all! I'm going to have to add to my collection very soon, I cannot resist any longer! Especially the headbands as they are just perfect for the summer days (which we are yet to see!). If you haven't checked out their website then please do, it is full of such wonderful pieces from headbands to bows and much, much more! http://crownandglory.bigcartel.com/

Overcoming fears...

Evening lovelies,

We all have our own fears, whether they are little or big it is personal to us. Sometimes other people won't understand our fears, and maybe you guys won't understand mine but I wanted to share this with you.

I wasn't planning on doing this post today as I had another in mind but I felt that post could wait and this one should be shared whilst I'm in the moment. One of my fears, as silly as it may sound, is getting the courage to go on a jog/run/walk alone. Since finishing university a week ago I made sure it would be my goal to get fit and healthy as I put one some weight in the last few weeks, maybe even months. This was obviously due to the stresses of the work load, and not to mention the divides within our group and seeing people's true colours (don't get me started!). Not only was it that, it was also money problems. My course, Fashion and Textile Design, is such an expensive course and I am so good with money, but I ended up not being able to afford to go to uni despite living at home and not paying rent.

Anyway, all of that amounted to me eating more, apparently, so I said to myself that as soon as I finish uni I will get fit and healthy and just feel more comfortable in my skin. Obviously this is where the jogging alone comes in. If I had a big enough garden  would honestly just to laps just to avoid going out and for people I know to see me without make-up, looking a mess. I don't know what it is but it just freaks me out! Me and my friend have been going jogging on and off the last couple of months once a week, and that's fine because I'm not alone, but for some reason when I'm on my own I just get panicy and worried and scared! Which is completely silly I know, I just can't help it.

But, today I was having a crappy day and feeling really lousy, all the past stresses from uni life catching up on me now that I finally have free time to myself to do whatever I want, and I finally decided enough was enough and I needed to get out of the house. I was already in my gym gear from working out in the morning and therefore I had no excuse but to go for a jog, whether it was for 15 minutes or an hour I didn't care I just had to get out!

Now as you can see I didn't go completely alone, I took my dog with me but I felt so proud just to be out doing this for myself. I was out jogging/walking for just over an hour completing 5.5km and burning 397 calories (thanks to the Runtastic app!). I also managed to clear my head slightly which was half the reason for me taking this step. I am so privileged to live near the sea as I find it is the perfect way to collect your thoughts and clear your mind.

Anyway, after all of this rambling about my little fear (well done if you've managed to get through it all!), I feel like next time I might be able to go it alone and keep it up as well! I really hope this isn't a one off, I just need to find it in me to make myself go again, because at the end of the day I will be getting fit and overcoming a fear. It's a bit like what Zoella has being saying recently, 'just say yes' and you never know where life will take you!

Have you got any little fears you want to, or maybe have, overcome? Have you got any tips for motivating myself to go for a run or any other running apps I can check out? I'd love to try them! :)

200. It feels strange to be back.

Necklace:  H&M
Top:  New Look
Skirt:  Urban Outfitters
Ring:  H&M
Socks:  New Look
Boots:  New Look

Hello, hello!

I feel it's pretty ironic that my first 'ootd' since I have been away is number 200...Haha! A nice round number to come back on I think :) So here is my first outfit of the day post in a while, as promised. I have to say it was pretty tricky taking the photo's today as I have been gone for so long I literally felt like I didn't know how to do it anymore. That's kind of scary for me, because as I said yesterday I would hate this to be like I am starting from the beginning again and learning everything all over again seeing as I've worked so hard to get to this point. Ah well, whatever will be will be I guess!

Anyway, today is the first day in a long time where I have actually been happy with my outfit and how I look, the first day I have actually made an effort in a very long time! I love this paisley print skirt from Urban Outfitters as you don't need anything to fussy to style it up so I've just gone for a simple black t-shirt and gold chain necklace. I thought I would add the pop socks for fun too.

Ah, enough ramblings from me! Time to sort out my new bedroom! (More news on this very soon!!) Have a lovely evening all!

I'M BACK!!

Hello you beauties,

My, oh my, has it been a long time indeed! As most of you may know I have taken a little time away from blogging to concentrate on my university work and finish education FOREVER! So now that that is all over I am back to blogging! I have missed blogging so much, yet I have to say it has taken me a good few days to write this post...I guess I'm worried I've lost my touch or it will feel like I'm starting from scratch all over again...but I guess if that is the case then hey, this is a new beginning for me having finished university anyway so I'm just going to go with it :)

So this post is just a little introduction to show you guys that I am back and I have a few things planned blog post wise to show you which is exciting! If you'd like to see what I have been up to over the last few weeks with uni then please head over to my second blog, www.klei.co.uk and there you can find out a little about how the fashion shows went etc.

Please, please come back tomorrow when I will be in full swing with blogging, like I said before I feel a little out of place writing posts as it has been so, so long but I'm hoping it will be like riding a bike :) So yes, tomorrow I will hopefully do an 'OOTD' post to get things going!

I hope you've all been well!
