Sunday Summary #10

Hello lovelies!

Happy Easter!!

I hope you've all had a lovely Easter weekend filled with lots of chocolate and films :) Today was such a lovely day. I woke up and the sun was shinning through my window! Me and my friend decided to go for a jog and although it was sunny it was very cold! It felt good to go for a run though, especially along the sea front near where I live :) Lots of families were out and about which was lovely to see too. Lets hope Spring is finally here, ey? :)

I have such a busy week coming up I'm slightly worried about my uni work, fingers crossed I'll get everything on my to-do list done like last week and all will be good in the world! Haha

Enjoy Easter break!

Sugarhill Boutique S/S '13

Hello beauties,

As you may know, I am in love with Sugarhill Boutique. It is, in fact, my favourite online store as I often love everything that they sell and the clothing is such good quality. I have met a few of the lovely ladies who work at Sugarhill Boutique at a couple of press release days and they are just so kind and welcoming and really genuine too. I absolutely love the dresses in particular (as you can probably tell by the images I have chosen!) as they all have unique features and details and amazing prints!!

Sugarhill Boutique are known for their fantastic prints and each season they come back with new and inivative designs which I adore every time! I think my favourite from the Spring/Summer 2013 range is the hot air balloon as I love the pastel colours they have used. I cannot wait to shop from this range, I have been waiting a while since previewing the collection at the end of last year. Now all I need is pay day to hurry up!! And can I just mention how bloomin' gorgeous the model's are too!!

What is your favourite print from the Sugarhill Boutique S/S '13 range?

Food, glorious food!

Yesterday evening me and my boyfriend, Jack, cooked a roast dinner for us and my Dad. My boyfriend is a part-time chef and was full-time before he went to university so he is pretty good when it comes to cooking, fortunately for me ;) I'm always his little sous chef in the kitchen, preping the veg etc, and I love it!

I also decided to make some little chocolate easter cakes after seeing so many people getting into the easter spirit and making all sorts of delicious treats. Mine don't look any where near as good as some people's but they tasted damn good!! Haha

Jack caught me while I was taking my outfit photos yesterday and decided to join in, ha!

Evening lovelies,

Here is today's look, rather fresh and Spring-like I feel :) I put this outfit together on a whim this morning and have actually fallen in love with it as it's so light and fresh and makes me dream of Spring (which should infact be here by now!!). I added the collar clips (clip-on earrings) on the tips of the collar on the blouse for detail as it matched one of the blue/green shades in the skirt. I often buy clip-on earrings from charity shops and use them as collar clips for a touch of detail. I have also sold a few which are attached by a chain and hopefully I will be putting more up for sale soon if anyone is interested?

I also love this sewing machine necklace which my Mum bought me for Christmas last year. It is so relevant to my life and my passion and I dream of owning a real vintage Singer sewing machine one day!

Anyway, I hope you guys like my outfit for today. I have a slightly different post planned for tomorrow so stay tuned for that :)

Recent Inspiration

All photos found on pinterest.

I recently came across these beautiful, whimsical images whilst researching for my univeristy project and just thought they were so light and pretty and I wanted to share them with you. The forth image, of the girl facing the left, I have actually had saved probably since 2011 as I initially found it on tumblr but I have recently found that it is from Pull & Bear's Spring 2011 Campaign.

Sunday Summary #9

Hello sweeties,

First of all, what do you think of my new blog layout?! I have been feeling like I needed a change within my blog layout a lot lately. I felt as though my previous layout didn't really show my personality as it was quite bold and formal, plus seeing as it's (supposed to be) Spring I thought I would brighten up my blog a bit. I've always been a bit hesitant when it comes to changing the layout of my blog as I always think 'what if I hate it and can't get it back to how it was?', I think that's probably why I had my previous header for so long, but I am liking the new look and I hope you guys like it too :)

Last week was my first week 'off' of uni for the Easter break and I think it's gone to my head a little bit as I haven't done much work at all eventhough I have tones to do! So on Friday night I thought it would be best to have a light pamper evening to de-stress and clear my mind for the weekend so that today I can crack on with my work and hopefully get lots done. Recently I have been pampering myself a lot more to de-stress and take my mind off of things and I find it really helps. I plan on doing a full post soon on little ways to pamper yourself, relax and de-stress - even if it's just for 20 minutes. I think everyone needs a little pamper every now and then, don't you? :)

196. Clashing Prints

Blouse:  Charity Shop
Jeans:  New Look (extremely old!!)

Hello lovelies,

I'm not too sure if I will upload this look to Lookbook yet but I thought I would blog it anyway as I quite liked the clash of prints. Today I am feeling really poorly so I opted for comfy clothes, but still presentable, if you like, as I went shopping with my Mum, something which we both needed!

I had a really lovely girlie day with my Mum buying a few beauty products, one of which is the Sleek Brow Kit which I have been eyeing up for absolutely ages so my Mum treated me, bless her :) So I'm really looking forward to using that! I also bought one of Rimmel's Apocalips lip lacquer's which is so lovely! I don't usually wear glossy lipsticks/lip glosses but this one is really great. I haven't worn it for a full day yet but I will write about it soon :)

My Mum also bought me my graduating dress!!! I fell in love as soon as I saw it and it fits like a dream! Unfortunately you guys will have to wait until June to see it as I'm keeping it a secret until the big day (I'm not sure why...haha).

I hope you've all had a great day. Have a wonderful weekend!

195. Neon ramblings

Jumper:  Marks & Spencer
Belt:  Vintage
Skirt:  New Look (Last year!)

Hello lovelies!

I thought I would take the time out today to do a little outfit post. Now, the weather has been absolutely horrid outside and as you all know I pretty much always take my outfit photos outside, so taking photos  has proven to be difficult lately, as well as a mass amount of uni work that needs to be done! My house doesn't have any blank walls for me to take photos against and my room is the size of a small box, hence why these photos are not full length. However, I have good news!! As my brother has now officially moved out (despite still leaving a mountain of bags behind...) I can now move into his old bedroom!! His room is double the size of mine and I will finally be able to have a double bed!! (Super exciting when you're nearly 22 and have lived in the same tiny room all your life!).

I am soo excited to move in as I will now be able to have a 'lookbook wall' as I like to call it because I will have enough room to take full length photos and the light in my brothers (old) room is really good AND I will be able to take photos whatever the weather. Now, you may be thinking 'why haven't you taken photos in there yet?? Get in there!!' well, the walls are...wait for it...lime green and blue :| Soooo not the best background for taking outfit photos against I think you'll agree! I do plan on decorating, obviously, and I will be painting the walls a fresh lick of white paint to give a nice base background. Having said that I have told myself I cannot decorate until I do a substantial amount of work! So, fingers crossed I will be decorating in around 2 weeks time and will have a lovely background for my outfit photos :D

Ahh, sorry for the long ramble about decorating and 'lookbook walls' but I thought I would share this amazing news with you as I am really excited and I think it will give my blog a fresh feel about it too. Oh and as you can see I now have a remote to take my photos with. This has been a long time coming and I finally found a cheap one that was compatible with my camera and it works like a charm! No longer will I be running back and forth like a loony too and from my camera. So anyway, that's  enough rambling for one day! I hope you're all having a lovely week. Wish me luck on getting lots of work done and being able to decorate my new room!!

Sunday Summary #8

Hello lovelies,

Again, I know it has been ages and I am sorry. In fact, I'm going to stop starting my posts with that sentence from now on after this post because I feel like I am appologising an awful lot. I mean, it's not like I've just stopped blogging I just don't have the time at the moment (which I hate because I love blogging!) so this post is to share with you how I spend my days lately, and I guess quite a few of my posts will be like this, a little more like a life blog to keep you updated on what I'm doing in uni etc. So I have a few images for you and a short video at the end. I thought it would be better to show you in video form what I am doing at the moment rather than keep on having to explain it :) I hope you like it!

I'm now a 'dotcom'!

Hello lovelies,

Sorry it has been a while, again! I feel like I am appologising in every post I write lately, but life is extremely busy and tiring right now so thank you to all you lovelies who keep coming back and writing on my blog, it really means a lot :)

Anyhoo, I thought I would quickly share the fact that I have gone from 'www.silentsweethearts.blogspot.com' to 'www.silentsweetheart.com' - I am now a .com website!! This is something which I have been thinking about for absolutely ages and never really knew whether to do it or not seeing as I haven't reached 500 followers yet let alone 1000 like the big-time bloggers. However, as part of my uni course we are being taught about websites etc and my lecturer wanted us to create a domain name and link it to our blogs/websites and seeing as I haven't thought of a website name yet (suggestions welcome - not to do with silent sweetheart though) I thought I would do it for my blog instead! It's pretty exciting and kind of makes it feel more official I think.

If anyone wants any information on how to link your domain name to your blog then drop me and email kirstilee24@hotmail.co.uk and I'll get back to you asap :)

Hello beauties!

Sorry for the lack of posts recently, uni work has taken over my life yet again! I promice I will blog as much as I can :)

This is what I wore today. Seeing as it is the 1st of March I was feeling quite Spring-like when I put this outfit together and I really like the outcome. I think it's just really fun and playful :) I also had a visit from my lovely friend Paige who I haven't seen in forever!! It was so great to see her and have a good old chin wag again because we are literally on the same page and are so similar so it's lovely to be able to relate to someone that much :)

I hope you've all had a lovely week and are looking forward to Spring, not long to go!!
