I'll be gone for a while...

Hello beauties,

So I feel like I need to explain myself a little on why I haven't been blogging recently. I'm sure you can all guess what I am going to say...uni work. I figured out I literally have just over 4 weeks to make all of my final garments for my collection before the catwalk shows start around mid-May. On top of that I need to figure out my business cards, my website, my boards and my sketchbook so as you can probably tell the next few weeks are going to be very stressful indeed!

Therefore, I have come to the decision that there is no way I will be able to blog for the next few weeks, possibly even 2 months depending on how busy I will be with catwalk shows, but definitely for the next month. This really saddens me because I absolutely love blogging and I always recieve such lovely comments when I keep the blog posts flowing and as soon as I take a few days off the comments fizzle out and I loose followers sometimes too. So this is why I am writing to say that I will be gone for a few weeks but I will be back!! I have so many things/features I want to do with my blog and some exciting news for when I finish uni too, but for now I guess I have to be patient and concentrate on my uni work, because I only get one shot at this and that scares me! Haha

So anyway, I will be gone for a while and if I do post about what I have been up to (which I probably will) it will be on my second blog - www.klei.co.uk - so please go and follow my second blog if you what to see what I am up to in my final few weeks of uni.

I promice I will be back in a few weeks, and I will be full time so lots of blog posts and exciting things to share with you! I hope you can all understand the pressure and support me and my blog through the next few weeks :) Thank you, see you soon xxx

Having a hard time.

gif made by me with my own images.

Hey lovelies! Sorry for the lack of posts recently. I have been crazy busy with uni work recently leading up to my crit, but I had that yesterday and everything went really well. My beautiful model and friend, Charlotte, came and modelled the outfit for me and it fit perfectly! My tutor even thought that I had made it for Charlotte because it fit so well. To say I was pleased would be an understatement. I also got given my brief for my pre-collection, which I have to create my own brief, but I'll explain more of that on my other blog fashion-interval later on today.

Lately my emotions have been very up and down, probably due to the stresses of university, constantly being tired and family troubles going on lately, but I won't go into details. All I know is, I could not do it all without my wonderful boyfriend sticking by me, dispite living an hour away, and my amazing friends always being there to cheer me up. I realise I am so lucky to have such great friends who I know will always be there for me in a second :)

But anyway, enough of my emotional ramblings. The reason for this post is that with all the stresses going on at the moment I find that I just chuck on my outfits in the morning. This is very out of character for me as I always take my time to choose what I am going to wear each day, sometimes I even plan what I will wear the night before! In the last 2 weeks I have noticed and started to pull myself together, however it is hard when you're waking up at the crack of dawn each morning and not going to bed 'till midnight each night. Does anyone else have this problem recently? And what tips do you have to stay stylish and on trend when your lifestyle is so busy? Any tips and advice would be much appreciated! Sometimes I think it's because I have so many clothes that I just don't have the time to rumage through it all! Well, today I will be ebaying some clothes that I just don't wear so I will do a post about that later. You never know, you may find something that you like :)

So much to blog about!! (IMAGE & INFO HEAVY)

Hellooo!! First of all, I appologise for bombarding you all with so many blog posts lately but there is just so much to blog about! This week has been really exciting for me and to top it off, my business cards came today!!

If you don't already know, in about two weeks I will be starting to sell some of the clothes that I make, ranging from shorts to skirts to peter pan collars. More updates on this will be coming in the following weeks on how you can buy them and prices etc. Knowing that I would be selling these clothes I bought some business cards from MOO and they actually came a week early which is really good! I will also be using the business cards for other things too to spread the word and network, but for now here are some photos of my cards, which I personally designed myself.

They came in an amazing 100% recycled box and with 5 10% off vouchers which I can give to friends and a further 15% off for me when I buy some more. I honestly couldn't be happier! I did originally look at Vistaprint, however I didn't like how it set out my design so I went with MOO, but Vistaprint are still really good and very cheap so it's worth a look! What do you think? Have any of your guys got some business cards from other websites?

In other news, I entered the garments which I made for uni (seen in this post) into Winchester Fashion Week today. They will be featured on Wednesday 13th and Thursday 14th of June in the Cirque Du Fashion Catwalk Show. The fashion week starts tomorrow and they have so much going on including a vintage fair on Sunday 10th and a sewing workshop on Monday 11th. If you live near Winchester it is really worth checking it out and if possible come to the catwalk shows next week too! You can buy tickets here. For more information about the week just click the link above.

What I've been making..

Hello beauties! Have you been enjoying this gorgeous weather today? I've been sunbathing in the garden with my mum all day and even caught a tan! Very exciting! Anyway, I wanted to show you some images of the garments I was working on for my uni projects before the hand-in as I am really pleased with them, especially the second outfit! I made the jacket, blue shirt, shoulder piece and grey shorts.

Like I said in a previous post, I had two friends helping me out with modelling and make up so I will leave a link to their blogs and Facebook pages at the bottom. Hope you like them! Let me know what you think :)

PLEASE DO NOT USE THESE IMAGES IN ANY WAY!
I am showing these images because I am proud of my work but I do not want them being used without my consent. Thank you :)

125. We could be up in the clouds

Brooch:  Charity Shop
Cardigan:  Primark
Dress:  New Look
Shoes:  Primark

Hey lovelies! How are you all? This is what I wore yesterday when it was lovely and sunny outside and today it's horrible and rainy.. :/ Anyway, I absolutely LOVE this dress, I bought it on Saturday. It's brand new in in New Look and they are really popular! I got so many compliments yesterday at work when I was wearing it. It has an amazing tie-dye print, as you can see above, in blue and cream and as far as I am aware this is the only colour they do at the moment as I can't find it on the website, but I think it would look really lovely in a shade of pink too. I bought the size 8 and didn't try it on until I got home and it is actually quite big, however because it comes with a tie belt you can pull it as tight as you want to and no one would know the difference. If anything it just adds more pleats in the skirt :) I decided to keep the rest of the look quite simple with cream and white shades but added detail on the neck with my gold and pearl brooch. What do you think?

Ahh my deadline is one week today plus I had my presentation today which was horrible! Hows everyone elses work going? Are you all as stressed as me?! Haha!

122. Feet don't fail me now

Blazer:  Primark
Playsuit:  New Look
Boots:  New Look

Hello! This is what I wore yesterday but I ended up going to the cinema in the evening to see Avengers (it is amazing by the way!) so I couldn't post my outfit, but here it is! It seems I'm loving the dusky pink colours lately. I wanted a comfortable outfit yesterday as I was doing uni work all day so I just chucked this playsuit on and then for the evening I added my blazer, ankle boots and floral necklace. Hope you like it!

Sorry I haven't been blogging much lately, uni work is so intense right now so my blog posts are gradually getting smaller and smaller due to little time to breathe! I cannot wait for the summer when I can really concentrate on my blog :)

Little Update

Hey everyone! I thought I should do a little update post because I haven't blogged properly in a while. I have been so busy recently with uni work and getting back into the swing of things since being off for easter and stressing over all the work I have to do! But also because it was my 21st birthday yesterday so I have been celebrating since Saturday! I have been so, so spoilt aswell! I recieved a Pandora bracelet and charms from my Mum, Nan and Grandad and a charm each from my brother and his fiance and my boyfriend's mum which is so lovely! I also recieved two Pandora rings from my boyfriend which match my bracelet and a Tiffany necklace from my Dad, and also lots of other little bits and bobs from my friends. I feel so lucky to have my family, boyfriend and friends around to help celebrate my birthday. I have had such a great four days :)

Anyway, enough of the birthday ramblings! I have four weeks (well 3 and a half now!) left to do all of my work ready for the hand in and I am so scared!! Is anyone else feeling the pressure from uni work? I know I am not in my third year, so I shouldn't really be moaning, but it is still hard work and extremely stressful! So anyway, what I am trying to say is that I may not be blogging as much as I normally would for the next 4, or so, weeks. I will pop back because I can't stay away! But I will keep the posts short and sweet :)

Hope everyone is having a good day despite the rain!

119. No one compares to you.

Top:  Forever 21
Shorts:  H&M

Hello beauties! So this is what I wore yesterday. I wanted to wear a lighter outfit seeing as the weather has been so horrible, so I opted for my new mint green blouse from Forever 21 and white lace shorts. The blouse is actually a large size because that was all they had but I liked it so much that I bought it anyway, and infact it looks more summery and floaty in the larger size which I quite like.

Just a short post today as I really should be getting on with my uni work! I have 5 weeks left and 3 projects to complete - god save me!

112. Take your time, hurry up

Glasses:  Ebay
Top:  H&M
Necklace:  Urban Outfitters
Shorts:  New Look
Socks:  Boots
Shoes:  New Look

Hello all! Well, it seems I can't stay away for too long and am posting a look already after yesterday's post! Haha But to be honest I wanted to do a look wearing my new geek glasses after recieving them in the post last week from ebay. I don't know why but I just fancied a different look and the glasses seemed to be the thing for me. I like to be different from the crowd but not in an obvious way as I hate drawing attention to myself, so little things like this are perfect for building my confidence and also not looking the same as everyone else.

Anyway, today is just a simple outfit as I'll be doing uni work and reading the Hunger Games all day again, although I have been procrstinating already! I ventured out to get petrol this morning, and no I am not a panic buyer I was literally in the red, and I have never seen so many cars at my local tesco!! It's safe to say I was NOT queueing that long, turned around and went to BP instead where it took me about 5-10mins in total to queue. Have any of you had trouble with getting petrol lately when you actually need it? Some guy next to me was filling up three jerry can's AND his car! Argh, anyway rant over! Time to do some work... Hope you all have a lovely Friday in the sun!
