Style Icon: Florence Welch

Hello you lovely lot! It was my first week back at uni this week, first week of third year, so I have been very busy settling back in and recieving projects etc. Hence the serious lack of posts! Now that I have settled in and know my timetable I will hopefully be able to post more regularly because I really miss posting and reading all of your lovely comments!

 

For my Fashion Design project I had to think of a muse and use that person to create a collection for a Design House. I have chosen Florence Welch as I find her so inspiring and everything she wears is just amazing! The Design House I am 'designing' for is Chanel, so I am really excited to start designing and see what I come up with.

 

As I have been researching her style I thought I would share some images I found of her. I hope you like them!

 

Image Update

Hello lovelies! Sorry it has been so long since I last posted! I have been mega busy catching up with friends and my boyfriend and making things etc. I am constantly taking photos on instagram showing what I have been up to so I thought I would show you all what I have been doing with myself! Today I went to the Royal Victoria Country Park, which is a short walk from my house, with my boyfriend as he finally got a day off work!! We decided to take my dog, Josh, down as he loves the sea (pics above). It was so lovely to spend time with my boyfriend, even if it was just a few hours :) Also, I am making a new dress as you can see! I really love this material and cannot wait to finish it and wear it out! What do you think of it so far?

I hope you've all had a good weekend and week so far! Oh, and I'm off to Brighton tomorrow with my lovely friend Gemma so I'm sure they'll be photos up of that in the next few days :)

What I've been making..

Hello beauties! Have you been enjoying this gorgeous weather today? I've been sunbathing in the garden with my mum all day and even caught a tan! Very exciting! Anyway, I wanted to show you some images of the garments I was working on for my uni projects before the hand-in as I am really pleased with them, especially the second outfit! I made the jacket, blue shirt, shoulder piece and grey shorts.

Like I said in a previous post, I had two friends helping me out with modelling and make up so I will leave a link to their blogs and Facebook pages at the bottom. Hope you like them! Let me know what you think :)

GLASS BOUTIQUE

Hello all! Second post of the day, but only a little one! I was recently contacted by the lovely Toni from Fashion Your Seatbelts about a fashion website I hadn't heard of before called 'Glass Boutique'. I took a look at the website and they sell men and women's designer clothes including Libertine Libertine, YMC, Won Hundred and more. A couple of my favourites are this Sessun floral dress and these 'Sag in Fresia' shoes, also by Sessun. They really do have some great finds on there which you wouldn't be able to find anywhere else so take a look by clicking on the link above.

Tahir Sultan

Hello everyone! I was recently contacted and introduced to a designer I had never heard of before called Tahir Sultan. I had a little look at the images I was sent and was really amazed by the design and shape of the garments. As I study Fashion Design this is the sort of thing I am interested in. I love hearing about and finding new designers and artists for inspiration, so if anyone is interested then here are some images of Tahir Sultan's work.

What do you think? I love the colours they have used, and I especially love the grey blazer and its amazing tall, thin arched shoulders.

My friend has just told me about a new show which is coming to our screens soon to find a fashion designer to design an outfit for Rihanna to wear for her performace in Hyde Park this summer! Nicola Roberts will be the main presenter but Rihanna will be involved.
