204. DIY Dress

Dress:  DIY/Self Made
Belt:  Vintage
Bag:  Anna Lou of London
Shoes:  H&M

Hey loves,

This is an outfit I wore on a night out last Thursday so a little late on the up-take, I know! I actually made this dress myself a couple of hours before I was due to go out. I was clearing through my fabrics and found a couple of scraps left of the navy and white houndstooth printed fabric. I have been meaning to do something with it for years however there was barely any of it left so I wasn't sure what to do with it. But on Thursday I really wanted to do something with it and I realised I had some fake white leather left over from my collection so I decided to make a dress and this is basically what I came up with!

I literally just had enough fabric so I was worried it wouldn't work but I think it turned out really well :) What do you think? It turned out a little too big and obviously I didn't have time to adjust it so I just put a belt on and hey presto! It created these lovely pleats to create a perfect fit :)

I hope you guys like it!

203. My 'go to' lazy day outfit

Necklace:  H&M
Jumper:  Vintage
Jeans:  New Look (Parisian range)
Boots:  New Look

Hey lovers,

Friday is here and as I went out last night with some friends I was feeling a lazy day was needed, however I did need to pop into uni to get my results. Therefore I opted for my 'go to' outfit when I am feeling lazy but still want to look stylish and I thought I would show you. I don't often wear jeans but they are the ultimate lazy-day bottoms (not before pj bottoms, of course!) for a day like today and these jeans are super comfy! I also chucked on my slightly oversized jumper and was good to go! I then added my gold chain necklace for a little detail and my ankle boots from New Look, which as you can see are well worn as they are so easy to walk in and give me a little extra height!

I also put together a little video for you guys, feeling creative today!

200. It feels strange to be back.

Necklace:  H&M
Top:  New Look
Skirt:  Urban Outfitters
Ring:  H&M
Socks:  New Look
Boots:  New Look

Hello, hello!

I feel it's pretty ironic that my first 'ootd' since I have been away is number 200...Haha! A nice round number to come back on I think :) So here is my first outfit of the day post in a while, as promised. I have to say it was pretty tricky taking the photo's today as I have been gone for so long I literally felt like I didn't know how to do it anymore. That's kind of scary for me, because as I said yesterday I would hate this to be like I am starting from the beginning again and learning everything all over again seeing as I've worked so hard to get to this point. Ah well, whatever will be will be I guess!

Anyway, today is the first day in a long time where I have actually been happy with my outfit and how I look, the first day I have actually made an effort in a very long time! I love this paisley print skirt from Urban Outfitters as you don't need anything to fussy to style it up so I've just gone for a simple black t-shirt and gold chain necklace. I thought I would add the pop socks for fun too.

Ah, enough ramblings from me! Time to sort out my new bedroom! (More news on this very soon!!) Have a lovely evening all!

178. Grainy

Blazer:  Charity Shop
Top:  H&M
Jeans:  New Look
Boots:  New Look

Major apologies for the horrible grainy photo above and the lack of images! I used my SLR camera this morning and the images all came out grainy apart from the close up shot. And before anyone says it, I am sure I had it on the wrong setting but I was in a hurry before uni ha!

Anyway, I thought it was about time I posted an outfit today seeing as I haven't done so in a while. I went for a really casual look today but styled it up with my velvet blazer and wedge boots. Being in uni all day every day at the moment means that I haven't really been focusing on what I am wearing, which is really unlike me, but today I thought I would make a bit of an effort.

Talking of uni, it is really taking it's tole on me. I am constantly tired and have no energy, but I am being a trooper and ploughing on through! Anyone else feeling the strain?

171. Simple Simon

Blouse:  Vintage  /  Paris
Jumper:  H&M (similar)
Jeans:  New Look (similar)
Shoes:  New Look (similar)

Good evening bloggers! This is today's rather simple, boyish, slouchy outfit. Today I have just been working on my summer project for when I go back to uni on the 1st, and also doing some house work, so I stuck to a really simple, but still feminine, outfit. I wasn't wearing any make-up, hence the 'I'm-not-looking-at-the-camera' shots, and I just shoved my hair in a clip keeping it messy and classic looking. I wanted to keep the look feminine as I felt quite boyish in just jeans and a jumper so I added the blouse underneath the jumper just showing the lace detail on the collar, and went for a small heel to finish the look. What do you think? It's not something I would usually wear or even photograph if I did wear it on a lazy day, but I thought I would today.

On another note, I kindly got sent two pairs of Avet Shape underwear from avetsetunderwear.com for me to review, one pair nude and one black. I am planning to wear them to work tomorrow and then in the evening when I go out for my friend's birthday so that I can give a full review on how they feel during a full day at work and on a night out. I will give my honest opinion on the underwear and will probably post my review on Sunday or Monday, so keep a look out for that! I am actually really looking forward to trying these out!

160. When did we all get so fearful?

Bag:  DIY
Blazer:  H&M
Necklace:  Corfu
Top:  New Look (Very old)
Disco Pants:  River Island
Shoes:  New Look

Hello! This is today's look as the weather isn't too great today. It started out sunny and now it's gloomy and raining *sigh*. Anyway, I based this outfit around my disco pants today as it's the first proper day that I am wearing them, so I went for spots and stripes for a contrasting look. I seriously cannot express how comfortable these pants are!! What do you think of the tro prints together?

157. Life is sweet

Necklace:  H&M
Everything Else:  New Look

Hey lovelies! I didn't actually put any make up on or decent clothes today until about 4 o'clock when I got a text from my boyfriend saying he was on a break so I could see him Ha! As soon as he text I was straight upstairs getting ready and wacked this outfit together, and I actually really like it! After looking at Alexa Chung and Jameela Jamil's outfits it got me thinking that I should experiment more with the clothes I already have in my wardrobe - and this is what I came up with! Do you like it?

Normally when trying out new outfits I get scared and a bit self-consience about whether people think I look stupid, but wearing this I actually felt really confident and grown up - almost like a business woman on a casual day! Haha!

Hope you've all had a good day! I can't believe it's only Wednesday, it feels like a Friday for some reason? Hmm...

Lana Del Rey for H&M

Hello! As you may or may not know, Lana Del Rey is the new face for H&M's Autumn/Winter collection 2012 and I am so pleased! Lana Del Rey has done so well and come so far in such a short amount of time, everything she does just seems to wow us! The campaign launches in September and shows the latest collection from H&M. They say they hope the collection will 'inspire' their customers, as well as offer them quality fashion at a very reasonable price.

So what do you guys think of Lana Del Rey being the new face of H&M's Autumn campaign? I think it's really great and no doubt the collection will wow us, and what better person to model it than Lana. Even in these sneak-peak images she looks stunning, I can't wait to see the rest of the collection!

126. Simples. - WARNING: IMAGE HEAVY

Blazer:  H&M
Top:  H&M
Jeans:  New Look (Kids)
Shoes:  New Look (Kids)

Hello lovelies! Ahh I AM FREEEEE from uni!! Horrah! To celebrate handing in all my work for the second year I went shopping with my boyfriend and bought some lovely little bits and bobs, including these shoes ^^ They are infact from the kids section in New Look and the size 3 actually fit better than the usual 4! They are so sweet and comfy with great cut-out  and lace up detailing and with a little wedge heel to add some extra (much needed!) height. I also bought a pair of shorts and trousers from New Look too, take a look below! It's not what I usually go for but I absolutely love them!

The trousers are actually full length but I couldn't get a full length photo just yet so an outfit post will follow within the next few days. Tropical prints are in everywhere at the moment so I thought I would try it out myself. I fell in love with the shorts as soon as I saw them and the trousers are so comfortable that I couldn't resist!

I also got these white lace shorts in the post today from OASAP. They have a drawstring waist with lovely lace detailing along the bottom and sides. They have some lovely items on there website, if you want to check it out click the appropriate link on the right hand side of my blog.

Sorry for the really long post but I have missed blogging and shopping a lot! Haha! Hope you've all have a lovely day in the sun :)
