Outfit Teaser

I had a lovely little outfit lined up for today but I couldn't take any full length photo's as it was raining pretty much all day and I don't really have the space or the right lighting to take any indoors. I was pretty gutted as I wanted to show you lovelies my velvet jacket from Urban Outfitters as I haven't done an outfit for it yet.

Anyway, I thought I would show you the jacket from the Urban Outfitters website to give you a sneak peak and I'll wear it again next week and hope that the weather is a bit better than today.

I just love the colour, texture and pattern on the jacket and the little triangles of velvet. It's that delecate piece of clothing in my wardrobe that will make any outfit look elagnt and light. I love the tassels on the bottom on the scarf bit too, although they have got caught on my kitchen droors a couple of times.. This jacket was £60.00, I got it for £30.00 and it is now £20.00 - a complete bargain! So if you like it as much as I do you can find it here.

Jameela Jamil - LFW

I just wanted to do a quick post on Jameela Jamil and what she was wearing at this years London Fashion Week. She looked utterly stunning in a floaty white blouse, with a cape effect attached, tucked into a leather skirt, with a matching leather tie, black heeled boots and little white lace pop socks to finish the look, not forgetting her black bowler hat and signature red lips.

She looks amazing and it's an outfit I would definitely wear! I've put together a little polyvore inspired by this look. Not the best of layouts but I hope you like it! What do you think of Jameela's look? Is it something you would wear?

Lana Del Rey

We've all seen her, we've all heard about her, we've all been the one's to talk about her. Her amazingly soft and elegant voice captured our hearts right from the very begining when 'Video Games' was released late last year and she quickly became an internet sensation all over the world. Her beauty struck us with her gazing eyes and her pouting lips, with lose curls in her ginger/brown hair topped with an oversized floral headband. It's really no wonder everyone fell for her, and her home video for 'Video Games' is one like no other which really makes her music different.

I have been a fan of Lana Del Rey ever since I first heard her first debut single and once I had found out who she was I was facinated with her style. She has a sort of gangster feel about her early looks but it is gradually getting softer and with a more vintage feel to it. Her hair and make up is always perfect and she always shows such confidence, but in a good way - not overly confident, just so.

With her first album being released and flying off the shelves, recently signing a modelling contract and having a designer purse named after her (the Del Rey) she is doing rather well for herself. She was also asked to sing at a private Mulberry dinner on Sunday and wowed everyone who attended with her beautiful voice.

It's a wonder what she'll do next but we know she'll go on to do amazing things and we can't wait to see her do them!

P.S - If only I could afford the Prada playsuit she is wearing in the third image!!

99. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger

Top:  New Look/DIY
Necklace:  New Look
Skirt:  New Look
Ring:  Primark

Unintentionally wearing all New Look today eventhough I don't have work.. That's the trouble when you work in retail and have such good discount, your wardrobe ends up being full of pretty much the whole shop! But I have learnt to steer away from doing that too often now.

Anyway, as you may or may not have seen below in my post from yesterday I slashed the sleeves of this top last night, inspired by Sonia over in Dozen Dresses, to give an old, boring top a make over. I've paired it with my black maxi skirt, tights and boots to keep it simple and then accessorized it slightly with my chunky gold and white necklace, my gold feather ring and a grey belt to match the grey top. A very simple outfit but I think with the necklace and the slashed sleeves it adds some edge and I would also wear this outfit with my black wedge boots aswell to make it a little different.

I have been taking photos of things I like or find inspiring or things I've been up to over the last couple of days ready to do a 'what I've been up to' post on Friday/Saturday. I'm really enjoying doing it actually and I think it will give you followers a more personal take on what I get up to from day to day. I have to say it is very hard not uploading the pictures straight away as I have some really cool images I want to show off! But hey ho, you can all wait until the end of the week to see them!

Anyway, enough of my rambling! I hope you're all having a lovely Pancake Day! What do you put with your pancakes? I've heard some people have ice cream with theirs but I've personally never tried that myself. If you have is it good? Also, one more thing, I only need 2 more followers until I reach 100 and then I will hold my first giveaway! So spread the news if you want to see what prize I have in store!

DIY Inspiration - Topshop

Hello lovelies! I was looking through all of your lovely blogs the other day and came across an outfit post on Dozen Dresses which really inspired me. The top that Sonia, from Dozen Dresses, is wearing in the images below is from Topshop and I just love the slits in the arms because it just makes an outfit a bit more interesting, plus it adds interest to an average, boring top!

After seeing this I thought I would just cut some slits in the sleeves of an old top I had and hope that it turned out just as good as this one!

You will need:
  • Top
  • Scissors
  • Measuring Tape
  • Pins

Step 1: Measure 1.5 inches in from the edge of the arm and mark with pins.

Step 2. Measure 0.5 inches in between each cut that you will make and mark with a pin. You can cut free hand, I'm just picky! Then just cut every 0.5 inches up to your line of pins, simple!

And there you have it! Excuse the terrible photo's, I had to take them quickly before popping out. An outfit post including this top will be up tomorrow so you can see the top properly within an outfit. I think it's a great, simple way to add detail to a plain top.

P.S - Don't forget, you can now catch the latest posts on my Facebook page and just a glimps of the sorts of clothes I will be selling in the summer! And you can follow me on bloglovin' by clicking the link below!
