Thursday's Haul

Morning all! This is a scheduled post as I had two posts yesterday and I thought three might be a bit overwhelming, especially with all the imagery going on. So, I went shopping with my Mum on Thursday and bought all of these lovely things below, mainly make up which is a tad unusual because the majority of my money usually goes towards new clothes. However, lately I have been reading many beauty blogs and watching a lot of beauty Youtube video's and I have suddenly become a bit of a beauty addict.. :/ I feel like a bit of a late bloomer! I have always loved make up but I never really experiment much. So anyway, I bought a few bits and pieces of make up, some of which have been recommended by beauty bloggers and a pair of 'blue suede shoes' (boots) which I just fell in love with for some reason. Although I have to say, I am usually a size 3/4 but I had to buy these in a 5 as they were a bit tight. But anyway, I'll let the imagery do the rest of the talking so you don't have to listen to me ramble any more!!

Ok, so I wasn't originally going to spend £9.50 on an eyeliner, I wouldn't usually do that, but after watching Zoella talk about them on Youtube I thought I would see just how good they really are. I did a sample on my hand and it applied like a dream, however the price was still putting me off, so I walked away and shopped elsewhere, went to rub off the eyeliner and it did not budge! It was staying there unless I wacked out a face wipe, and that is what sold it for me. The fact is it so creamy and literally silky, AND stays on all day! I'd say it's worth the money. And as for the body butter, well, you just go and smell it and you will understand. It smells AMAZING! And I have a terrible sense of smell!! I applied it after showering last night and it sinks into your skin beautifully and every now and then you catch the smell and it's pretty dreamy.. I'm sure you all think I'm a bit of a weirdo now but just go and smell it and you'll see where I'm coming from. You can also buy it in 50ml or 1000ml tubs :)

So yeah, that is what I spent my money on on Thursday, plus a few Christmas presents. How is your Christmas shopping going? Feeling festive or is it too early? I am dreading the Christmas songs at work...they'll be great at first but playing Mcfly's Christmas song 6 times in 4 hours is a bit much. Anyone working in New Look will feel my pain! Infact, I may be suffering as you're reading this seeing as it's a scheduled post, ha! Happy Friday Saturday!

182. Blue Suede Shoes (boots)

Hat:  New Look
Blazer:  Charity Shop
Necklace:  H&M
Top:  New Look
Disco Pants:  River Island
Boots:  New Look

Ah, second post of today! I did have another but thought I'd better leave that one for tomorrow, don't want to overload you all! Anyway, this is today's outfit. I couldn't, and still sort of can't, decide whether or not the blue blazer and blue boots was a bit much especially with the hat but I thought I'd go with the flow and just wear it anyway! I'm off out with a couple of friends in mo for a much needed catch up so if I get any funny looks I'll know what they're thinking, ha!

I wasn't actually going to blog or Lookbook this look because my best images came out really grainy, but I thought the two at the top weren't so bad, plus it has been a century since I uploaded an outfit!! So anyway, what do you think? I bought the boots and the hat yesterday when I went shopping (which will be mentioned in tomorrow's post) so I was eager to wear them both today. I know it may not be to some people's taste, but hey ho! I'm going with the flow! ....And rhyming apparently?!

Enjoy your weekend!

Company Fashion Forum Event

Hello beauties! As you may have guessed by the title I went to Company Magazine's Fashion Forum event in London on Wednesday evening. Me and my friend Victoria met up with the lovely Chelsea from Chelsea Jades Loves and headed on over to the event in Hackney Central.

Once we got there the room slowly started flooding with fellow budding fashionistas. I always love going to events like this because I love to see how everyone else dresses. I really love seeing everyone's unique style and being inspired by them. Before we even got into the room we were talking to the web editor from Company Mag and one of the stylists, Lauren, which was really surreal but so amazing! I was quite shocked and taken back but they were both so lovely asking questions about us and giving us advice on how to break into the industry etc, it really made me feel at ease.

Once we got into the main event room we were presented with an amazing goodie bag, which I will show below, and six chairs on stage filled by six beautiful and talented ladies. The first by the editor of Company Magazine, Victoria White, the second by the head of Visual Merchandising in Miss Selfridge's Head Office (didn't catch her name!), the third by the Buying Director of Oasis Fashion, Sarah, the forth by the amazing stylist, Aradia Crockett, the fith by a lady working for IPRFashion (didn't catch her name, feel so bad!!) and lastly, the sixth by Fred Butler, who's wonderful blog you can find here.

The overall experience was so amazing and so chilled! The ladies on stage spoke about their personal experiences of getting into the industry and answered our questions which was really great. They even let us run over time so that they could answer more questions and we even got to talk to them after aswell which was amazing. The whole experience was so insightful and gave me the motivation to carry on with my blog and university and has even made me write a list of goals that I want to achieve after I have graduated. So thank you so much Company Magazine! Please do more events like this!!

Now onto the fantastic goodie bag ;)

The perfect Christmas dress

Hey lovelies! I have created this post as I have my work's Christmas doo coming up and would love to find the perfect dress for the event. I have searched many websites but all of the 'going out' dresses aren't exactly wowing me, until I came across Miss Selfridges' range. They have some amazingly beautiful dresses at the moment so I thought I would share my favourites with you.

£49.00

Ahh, I love them all! Some are a little pricey than others. I'm not sure I could bring myself to spend over £100 on a dress, though it is beautiful I just don't have the money! Which one would you pick out for me to wear and why? I'd love to hear your feedback and hopefully narrow down my options!

Having a hard time.

gif made by me with my own images.

Hey lovelies! Sorry for the lack of posts recently. I have been crazy busy with uni work recently leading up to my crit, but I had that yesterday and everything went really well. My beautiful model and friend, Charlotte, came and modelled the outfit for me and it fit perfectly! My tutor even thought that I had made it for Charlotte because it fit so well. To say I was pleased would be an understatement. I also got given my brief for my pre-collection, which I have to create my own brief, but I'll explain more of that on my other blog fashion-interval later on today.

Lately my emotions have been very up and down, probably due to the stresses of university, constantly being tired and family troubles going on lately, but I won't go into details. All I know is, I could not do it all without my wonderful boyfriend sticking by me, dispite living an hour away, and my amazing friends always being there to cheer me up. I realise I am so lucky to have such great friends who I know will always be there for me in a second :)

But anyway, enough of my emotional ramblings. The reason for this post is that with all the stresses going on at the moment I find that I just chuck on my outfits in the morning. This is very out of character for me as I always take my time to choose what I am going to wear each day, sometimes I even plan what I will wear the night before! In the last 2 weeks I have noticed and started to pull myself together, however it is hard when you're waking up at the crack of dawn each morning and not going to bed 'till midnight each night. Does anyone else have this problem recently? And what tips do you have to stay stylish and on trend when your lifestyle is so busy? Any tips and advice would be much appreciated! Sometimes I think it's because I have so many clothes that I just don't have the time to rumage through it all! Well, today I will be ebaying some clothes that I just don't wear so I will do a post about that later. You never know, you may find something that you like :)

Hello! This is just a short post today as I am mega busy with uni work and looming deadlines! I did manage to shoot my outfit for you guys though. It's pretty basic but nice with the collar clip deatil which I made myself. I will be selling more like this very, very soon so watch this space!

Also, I have created a little side blog which you can find here. It's still very bare at the moment but I have a lot of ideas so please check it out and follow to stay posted. Also, please let me know what you think, any ideas you may have of which direction I could take, I would love that! It's sort of a mini project/challenge for myself so we'll see how it goes. 180. Blow me one last kiss

Cardigan:  Charity Shop
Necklace:  Present
Lace Top:  New Look (about 3/4 years ago!)
Belt:  Vintage
Maxi Skirt worn as dress:  New Look
Socks:  Topshop
Boots:  New Look

Hello beauties! This is today's look. I decided to go for something a little different and wear my maxi skirt as a dress, nipped in at the waist with a belt, so that the length was a little different to usual and I thought I would wear my light pink/peach lace crop top to add texture and layers. I added the white lace socks for a bit of fun too :) What do you think?

I upgraded my phone today to the Samsung Galaxy S3 and love it!! I've had the Galaxy S for 2 years now so I am used to how Samsung and Android work but I am also loving the cool new features. Does anyone else have this phone? The iPhone 5 did cross my mind but I settled on the Samsung in the end and I am so glad I did! I have, of course, been playing around with it as you can see below. Plus I got 2 Pandora Charms from New Look for working there for 5 years! I am very happy with them, especially the dress on the hanger, very fitting I thought :)
